As a service to the community, the Santa Barbara Council of Charitable Gift Planners is offering the presentation free and open to all who register. This meeting is sponsored by Mission Wealth.

Speakers are Shawn Jensen from Schwab Charitable and Marianne Hayes from Schwab Private Client Investment Advisory, Inc. The pair will speak about the SECURE and CARE Acts and their impact on charitable giving. 

The presentation will provide a general overview of the SECURE and CARE Acts and how it impacts financial planning. Strategies will be discussed include how individuals can mitigate tax exposure and how charitable giving can be incorporated in their planning. 

Co-presenter Marianne Hayes is a Senior Wealth Strategist at Schwab Private Client Investment Advisory. Based in Colorado, Hayes specializes in estate planning, wealth preservation, and lifetime and legacy philanthropy. She holds a MBA in Finance, Masters of Taxation, and a Juris Doctor all from the University of Denver. 

Co-presenter Shawn Jensen is a Senior Manager, Relationship Management, at Schwab Charitable, responsible for business in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. Previously he worked at several nonprofit organizations in Los Angeles County. He earned a B.A degree in International Business from San Diego University.
