Santa Barbara Council of Charitable Gift Planners (formally known as the Planned Giving Roundtable of Santa Barbara) is a community increasing philanthropy through charitable gift planning. We are governed by a Board of Directors.
Today, SBCCGP is striving to build a membership base of gift planning professionals from the greater Santa Barbara area. Expanding beyond wills and trusts, the organization will focus on all of the people, tools, values and best practices that work together to make charitable giving most meaningful.
- We are a community dedicated to increasing philanthropy through charitable gift planning
- We are a definitive resource for charitable gift planning information
- We are a network for building meaningful relationships within the philanthropic community
We are a chapter of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP). Originally created in 1988 as the National Committee on Planned Giving (NCPG), the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP) is a 501(c)(3) public charity whose mission is to help people and organizations create charitable giving experiences that are the most meaningful in achieving both charitable mission and the philanthropic, financial, family and personal goals of the donor.
CGP achieves its mission through research, education, advocacy, community dialogue and the setting of standards and best practices in philanthropic planning. CGP strives to engage all constituents in the charitable gift planning process: planned giving and major gifts professionals, nonprofit managers and trustees, financial and estate planners, trust managers and administrators.
